Choose Your VPS Deployment Location: Why It Matters and How Pricing Works
Some VPS plans now let you pick exactly which node your server deploys to, with clear per-location pricing.
Choose Your VPS Deployment Location: Why It Matters and How Pricing Works
Where your VPS physically runs has a real, measurable effect on how it feels to use โ and on select plans, you can now choose it directly at checkout.
Why location actually matters
Every request your server handles has to travel the physical distance to and from it first. A VPS in a nearby region will often feel more responsive than a more powerful one on the other side of the world, simply because of that round-trip distance โ this matters most for real-time workloads like game servers, bots, and live websites with latency-sensitive visitors.
How it works at checkout
On supported plans, you'll see a Deployment location option. Each choice is clearly priced โ some locations are included at no extra cost, others may carry a small premium depending on demand and infrastructure cost in that region. There's always a free Automatic option too, if you'd rather we pick the best available node using our normal placement logic.
Why not just make every location free?
Different regions have genuinely different infrastructure costs. Rather than averaging that into every plan's base price (which means everyone subsidizes the most expensive region equally), we price it transparently per location so you only pay extra if you specifically want a premium location.
Picking the right one for you
- Game servers: closest to your player base, not to you personally if they differ.
- Bots: platform API latency usually matters more than your bot's own location.
- Global-audience websites: consider pairing with a CDN rather than over-indexing on a single region.
