Choosing a deployment location (node) for your VPS

Choosing a deployment location for your VPS

Where your VPS physically runs affects latency to your actual users โ€” a server close to your audience will generally feel faster than one on the other side of the world, even with identical specs.

At checkout

On VPS plans where more than one deployment location is available, you'll see a Deployment location option at checkout. Each choice shows clearly if there's any extra charge for that specific location โ€” some locations are included at no extra cost, others may carry a small premium depending on the plan.

If you don't pick one

There's always an Automatic choice, at no extra charge โ€” we'll place your VPS on the best available node for that plan using our normal placement logic (capacity, health, template availability). Pick this if you don't have a specific location preference.

Picking the right location for your use case

  • Game servers / real-time apps: choose the location closest to the majority of your players or users.
  • Websites with a global audience: location matters less if you put a CDN in front, more if you don't.
  • Bots: platform API latency usually matters more than your bot's own location, but a well-connected region still helps for voice/media-heavy features.

Changing location after purchase

The deployment location is chosen at creation time and isn't something you can change afterward without a new order โ€” if you're not sure, it's worth getting this right at checkout rather than after your VPS and any data on it already exist.
