How ranking normally works

Freshness and activity both factor into how listings are ordered, so an actively maintained listing with a real, up-to-date description has a genuine chance of visibility without ever paying anything.

What a boost does

If you want extra visibility beyond organic ranking, you can purchase a boost for your listing. This is billed through a normal RepublicNodes invoice — the same billing system as any other service — not a separate currency or points system.

Is a boost necessary?

No — plenty of listings get discovered without one. A boost is worth considering if you're launching a new server and want initial visibility while it builds its own activity history, not something every listing needs to be found at all.
