Why We Started RepublicNodes

The short version of why RepublicNodes exists: we were hosting customers ourselves first, got frustrated by the same things you probably have, and decided to build the host we actually wanted to use.

Why We Started RepublicNodes

Most hosting companies start with a pitch deck. RepublicNodes started with a spreadsheet of complaints โ€” our own.

The Problem We Kept Running Into

Before RepublicNodes existed, we were customers of other hosts ourselves โ€” running Minecraft communities, Discord bots, and small VPS projects. The pattern was always the same: a great price on the landing page, then a slow panel, vague specs, a support ticket that took two days to get a real answer, and a renewal invoice that quietly crept up after the first few months.

None of that is illegal or even unusual in this industry. It's just not good enough.

What We Actually Wanted

We wanted a host where:

  • The specs on the pricing page are the specs you actually get, not an "up to" number
  • Support is answered by someone who understands Proxmox, Pterodactyl, and the actual software you're running โ€” not a script-reading first-tier agent
  • Prices don't creep up silently after the first renewal
  • You can see exactly what's happening to your server โ€” provisioning status, IP assignment, resource usage โ€” instead of a black box

So we built it ourselves, starting with game server and VPS hosting, and expanded from there based on what our own early customers actually asked for โ€” which is also why you'll find Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp bot hosting, a free server listing directory, and our own website builder for game servers sitting next to the original game server plans.

Where We Are Now

RepublicNodes runs on our own managed infrastructure across multiple locations, with real humans behind support, transparent specs on every plan, and a product lineup that grew because customers asked for it โ€” not because a template said we needed another category.

If that sounds like the kind of host you've been looking for, see our current plans.
