Where Are RepublicNodes' Servers Located? Real Latency Numbers
Location choice affects your ping more than almost anything else about a hosting plan โ more than RAM, more than CPU. Here's exactly where RepublicNodes' customer-facing locations are, with the latency our own monitoring is actually recording right now (we run automated checks against each location every 15 minutes).
| Location | Region | Used by | Measured latency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Singapore | Asia | Performance Minecraft, Rust, PalWorld, Source Engine (Performance line), VPS | ~60 ms |
| Mumbai (IN-3) | Asia (India) | Performance-line game hosting, India placement | ~18 ms |
| Singapore Budget | Asia | Budget Minecraft, Rust, PalWorld, Source Engine | ~71 ms |
(These numbers are measured from our own monitoring point, not from any specific player's location โ your actual ping depends on your own connection path to Singapore or Mumbai. They're a relative comparison between our locations, not a promise of your exact ping.)
Why Two Regions
Most of our infrastructure sits in Singapore, which gives solid, consistent latency across Southeast Asia, India, Australia and a fair amount of East Asia โ genuinely the best single-region choice for a broad Asia-Pacific playerbase. Our Mumbai location exists specifically for India-based communities where that extra latency to Singapore actually matters (competitive shooters, fast-paced PvP).
How Placement Actually Works
For Performance-line plans that support multiple locations, our provisioning system automatically places your server on whichever eligible node currently has the most free capacity for your plan's resource requirements โ you're never manually assigned to a node that's already full. If you have a specific preference (e.g. you specifically want Mumbai over Singapore), you can request it via a support ticket before your server is created, or ask us to move an existing service.
Budget-line plans run on a single dedicated node per game category, so there's no location choice there โ what you see above is what you get, and it's the trade-off that keeps Budget pricing lower.
